MLK Jr. Day of Service

On January 16th, KMS students and staff took time to honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. through a day of service.

 KMS students participated in the following projects to benefit these area agencies.

 

  • Greeting cards for Aurora Medical Center, Meals on Wheels and Interfaith Caregivers
  • Nature journals for Lac Lawrann Conservancy and Riveredge Nature Center
  • Door decorations for residents at Samaritan Health Center
  • Cards for soldiers to be distributed by the American Red Cross
  • Educational flash cards for children served by Casa Guadalupe Educational Center
  • Dog and cat toys and cage liners for the Washington County Humane Society
  • Place mats for residents at Samaritan Health Center
  • Emergency preparedness kits for the Citizen Corps and informational kits for Washington County Health Dept.
  • Fleece tie blankets for homeless individuals served by the Youth and Family Project
